The 7th Iran-Kenya Cooperation Summit was held in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. High-ranking government officials, successful private sector producers, and the team of the Green Alchemy ammonium sulfate fertilizer production plant- representing the country’s fertilizer producers- attended this summit.
The Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Kenya also attended the meeting and highlighted the importance of the economic cooperation between the two countries.
He also invited the audience to the dinner and emphasized the need to connect the economic activists of the two countries.
The Minister of Agricultural Jihad also attended the meeting and stated: The implementation of the agreements reached is the responsibility of the agricultural sector activists and businessmen, and the chambers of commerce of the two countries will play effective roles in the advancement and realization of these agreements.
He further noted: Kenya’s strategic location in East Africa and its abundant natural resources help to form beneficial trade relations between the two countries. Besides, Iran’s position in the West Asia, Central Asia and Caucasus region provides a good opportunity to expand Kenya’s trade relations with these regions. Therefore, businessmen from both countries should make the most of their country’s capacities to develop business and increase economic cooperation.
The Minister of Agriculture Jihad also said: Kenyan officials have shown great interest in cooperating with Iran, and developing economic cooperation with Africa has always been pointed out by the Supreme Leader, the President, and other officials of our country.
He also added: There are many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of transportation, industry, knowledge-based technologies, and agriculture.
Finally, it is hoped that there will be effective relations between Iran and Kenya in the field of ammonium sulfate fertilizer export, and that all fertilizer producers will participate in the realization of this goal.
